Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Itula Maafala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reshad Tartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reshad Tartan!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maafala lands a right hook to the body.
Reshad Tartan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tartan lands a jab.
Tartan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Reshad Tartan has been cut.
Maafala misses with a double jab.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Maafala seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Tartan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maafala stays in close to Tartan's body and controls the position.

Maafala has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Maafala postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Maafala is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Tartan wants to stand up but Maafala is controlling him.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tartan tries to keep at a distance but Maafala has taken the fight into the clinch.

Maafala has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tartan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Maafala is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tartan can do to turn this around?
Maafala tries to get the hooks in deep but Tartan pushed the leg off.

Maafala punches the canvas rather than the man.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tartan is trying to stand back up.
Maafala connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Tartan to escape the position.
Maafala thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Maafala is landing with strikes. Tartan can't take much more of this.
Maafala is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
