Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Karl De Groot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daemon Blackfyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Blackfyre's choice of entrance music: Mojo So Dope. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Groot sizes up Blackfyre with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
We've been informed that Blackfyre has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
De Groot throws a leg kick that is checked
and Blackfyre makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. De Groot really felt that one!
Karl De Groot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blackfyre fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De Groot.

De Groot connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Blackfyre momentarily.
De Groot lands with a hook. Blackfyre tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
De Groot throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blackfyre uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before De Groot has time to react.

De Groot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blackfyre was well out of range. Poor timing from De Groot.
Blackfyre throws a hook to the side of De Groot's head but De Groot sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

De Groot looks to land a right hand but Blackfyre moved out of range.

De Groot does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

De Groot throws a sloppy head kick and Blackfyre moves out of range easily.
De Groot has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Blackfyre.

A clash of legs there as Blackfyre blocks the low kick.

and Blackfyre counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
De Groot tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Blackfyre is able to avoid easily.

De Groot throws out a loose jab but Blackfyre uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Karl De Groot will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Blackfyre counters with a big uppercut that drops De Groot face first to the mat! Will he beat the count?! He's struggled up to his knees on 7 but it doesn't look like he's going to make it... he's been counted out! This fight is all over!
