These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bla throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Boone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bla missing with a left hand there. Boone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Boone catches Bla with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The fighters circle momentarily. Boone darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Bla Bla has been cut.
Bla Bla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bla takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bla takes one on the button.
Bla misses with a takedown
and Boone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boone is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Boone cracks Bla with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Boone avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bla has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boone jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Boone drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Bla shoots in but Boone avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Boone went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Boone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Boone darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Bla's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Boone before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
