Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Serget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serget comes to the cage accompanied by Friends in lower places. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Serget!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Malone!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serget moves away from the strike by Malone.
Serget keeps the fight on the outside.
Malone throws a body kick that misses.
Serget tries to counter with a takedown but Malone is quick to defend against it.
Malone lands a high kick!


It looks like Bob Serget has been cut.
Frankie Malone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Malone misses

and Serget counters with a takedown into side control.
Malone prevents Serget from moving into mount.
The strikes coming from Serget are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Malone trying his best to control but Serget has mounted him.

Serget seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Malone for as long as he can get away with.

Malone moves into the clinch.
Malone is trying to force a seperation but Serget has the dominant position.

Serget is trying to trip Malone. He has hold of a leg but Malone is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Serget persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Serget is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Malone can do to turn this around?
Malone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Malone misses with a kick to the body.

so Serget counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Malone wants to stand and escape but Serget is having none of it.

Serget has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Malone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Serget controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Serget appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Malone lands a head kick. Serget smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Serget takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Malone controls Serget momentarily but Serget frees himself.
Serget is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Malone can't keep his opponent in guard - Serget advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Serget shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Malone as he jumps to the side.
Malone misses with a series of wild punches.
Serget seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Malone looks to land a left hand but Serget moved out of range nicely.

Malone clinches with his opponent.
Malone is looking to break free of the clinch but Serget has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malone tries to break the clinch but Serget is controlling the position.
Serget has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Malone after a bit of a struggle.
Malone misses with an elbow over the top.
Malone is looking to break free of the clinch but Serget has double underhooks.

Malone pulls Serget into guard.
Malone not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Serget throwing strikes but missing.
Serget passes Malone's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Malone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serget. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Serget is taking a breather. Malone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Serget blocks a head kick by Malone.
Malone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Serget as he avoids it easily.
Malone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Serget appears to be looking for a big counter.
Malone misses with a head kick.
Malone closes the distance and clinches up with Serget, looking for a takedown. Malone pushes Serget against the cage but Serget circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Serget half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Malone misses with a body kick.
It looked like Serget was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Malone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Malone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Serget changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Malone tries to avoid it but Serget manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Malone to the ground. Malone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Serget. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malone is looking to clinch but Serget is avoiding it.
Malone throws a push kick but Serget slaps the foot to one side.
Malone looks to throw a body kick

and Serget decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Malone's guard.
Serget controls from within his opponent's guard.
Serget wants to control from the top but Malone keeps moving.

Malone wants to get back to full guard but Serget has mounted him!

Serget lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Malone tries to lock up and control but Serget gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee warns Malone that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Frankie Malone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bob Serget is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Serget, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bob Serget decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
