PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Predator Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamey Jasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by How I Could Just Kill A Man - Cypress Hill. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Predator Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamey Jasta!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Jasta.
Jasta cracks the inside of Burns's front leg.
Burns shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jasta but Jasta pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jasta is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Burns with a body shot.
Jasta throws a nice looking combination but Burns bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
As Jasta tries to get set, Burns tries to push him back and clinch up but Jasta manages to avoid the attempt.
Jasta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Jasta.
Burns shoots and misses
and Jasta counters with a good low kick that Burns was not able to check.

Jasta gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jasta is pulling down on Burns's head to control his posture.
Burns is looking to work some ground and pound but Jasta has wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jasta keeping full guard, as Burns tries to pass.
Burns is working hard here to advance position.
Jasta keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
Burns forces his way into half guard.
Jasta is staying active underneath Burns, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Burns trying to pass the guard but Jasta defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Burns moves into full mount! Jasta won't be happy about that!
Burns thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Jasta tries to improve his position but Burns has taken his back! Burns has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Jasta tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Burns pushes Jasta away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Predator Burns!
As Predator Burns got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Thanks guys, I have worked hard and the Burns team got me back on track. I regret not starting my career with Bradley Burns and my family but now I'm home.'.
