Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kain Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Newport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saint comes into the arena with Be Aggresive by Faith No More blaring out of the sound system. Kain Saint has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint misses with the combination.
Saint throws a head kick that Newport semi-blocks.
Saint displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Newport throws out the jab.

Saint throws a lazy uppercut
and Newport cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Saint throws out a loose jab but Newport uses good head movement to avoid it.
Newport attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Saint attempts a counter takedown but Newport avoids it well and moves away.
Newport's coach down at The Lion's Den was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Newport's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Newport throws a body punch but Saint moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saint swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Saint moves forwards but Newport connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Newport thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Saint if he has to take too many more of those.

That kick from Newport tenderised Saint's leg. Saint is trying to keep his angry face on.
Newport throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Newport tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aaron Newport is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Saint on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Newport drops Saint with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Saint looks back up at him and smiles so Newport waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Saint is rocked!
Newport lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Saint is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saint throws a head kick that misses.
Newport motions for Saint to come forward. Newport throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Saint seems to have got his legs back now.

As Newport looks to move away, Saint throws a big counter combo bu Newport just gets out of the way.

Saint looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Newport tries a head kick but it misses.
It looked like Saint wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Newport throws a good cross that connects.
Saint catches Newport with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Good leg kick by Newport there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Saint looks to score with a jab to the body but Newport is just out of range.

Saint does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Newport buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Saint is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Saint takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Newport looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Saint swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Saint throws a sloppy head kick and Newport moves out of range easily.
Saint fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Newport lands a big right hand that sends Saint crashing to the mat! Newport stays standing though and waves Saint back to his feet!
Saint swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Newport leaves Saint with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Newport fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Saint.
Newport avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Newport dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Saint on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Newport. Newport obviously looking to wear him down.

Saint thows a body kick. Newport tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Saint darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Saint takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Newport lands a big head kick that sends Saint to the canvas! Newport follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

A very excited looking Aaron Newport made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Kain Saint spoke after the fight, saying 'I'll come back a better fighter, better person. Thank you all for coming out and supporting me'.
