Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ignacio Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Just For (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Just For will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ignacio Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Just For!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dixon shoots in and bounces For off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dixon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
For is looking to stand up but Dixon isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dixon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dixon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down For for as long as he can get away with.
Dixon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dixon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
For can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dixon controls the pace.
For wants to stand but Dixon is controlling the position.

Dixon drops back looking for a leg! For is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and For manages to kick Dixon off! Dixon jumps back into For's guard.

Dixon stands up from guard. Let's bang!

For lands a right hook to the body.
For misses with a wild body shot.
For is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dixon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. For sprawls well initially but Dixon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dixon is working for a submission of some sort.

Dixon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, For has managed to free his arm - good work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dixon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Dixon stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
A right-left combo lands from For.

Dixon is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. For is defending well for now.

Dixon manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Dixon throws a punch but it's blocked by For.

For darts in and clinches Dixon up against the cage.

For is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dixon rather than just go for the knockout.
For fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dixon on the side of the head.
For throws a nice looking combination but Dixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A quick step to the side and Dixon tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dixon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

For is pushing Dixon's head away, looking to escape. Dixon manages to hold on to the position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


For jabs at Dixon's body.
For lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
For fails to land with a series of punches.
As For tries to get set, Dixon tries to push him back and clinch up but For manages to avoid the attempt.
Dixon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that For can do to turn this around?

Dixon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dixon stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dixon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
For lands a nice shot that snaps Dixon's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
For is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Dixon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on For, up you get!
For lands a nice hook to Dixon's body. Dixon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
For misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dixon looks to land a combination but For avoids it well.
For swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As For looks to move away, Dixon throws a big counter combo bu For just gets out of the way.

For rushes Dixon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dixon is trying to pull guard but For has him pressed against the cage.
Dixon tries to stall but For uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Dixon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as For walks away with a smile on his face. Dixon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
For lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by For.
Just For is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dixon drives through with a takedown into For's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dixon stands up over For, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dixon stops For from standing up.
Dixon controlling from the top position.
For wants to stand and escape but Dixon is having none of it.

Dixon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dixon is working For over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Dixon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

For clinches up with Dixon and pushes him back against the cage.
For working hard to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ignacio Dixon will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

No joy there for For, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dixon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

For wants to stand and escape but Dixon is having none of it.
Dixon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
For can't keep his opponent in guard - Dixon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Dixon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dixon lands a nice short elbow.
For is trying to stand back up but Dixon is controlling him

Dixon seems to be looking for submissions.
For is looking to escape.
Dixon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Dixon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
For tries to kick Dixon off but Dixon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
