Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Haverford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendan Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haverford comes into the arena with Jay-Z & Kanye West - N** In Paris blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haverford throws a low kick but it's checked well by Murphy.
Haverford thumps Murphy with a low kick.
Murphy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Murphy catches Haverford with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Haverford counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Murphy, as that shot connected.
Haverford checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Haverford moves into range and clinches up with Murphy.
Haverford misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Haverford has Murphy pressed against the cage.
Haverford tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Murphy's elbow.
Haverford tries to stall but Murphy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Haverford is looking to control Murphy's arms but Murphy gets an underhook and turns him. Now Haverford has his back to the cage.
Murphy is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Haverford tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Murphy's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Haverford jerks Murphy's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Murphy drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Haverford goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Haverford because Murphy was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

A relieved looking Tom Haverford thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
