The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cataldo shoots and misses

and Saunders counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Saunders.

Saunders is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cataldo can't fight it off and eventually Saunders manages to take the fight to the floor. Cataldo looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Saunders keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cataldo's head.

Cataldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saunders. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saunders postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Cataldo throws a nice looking combination but Saunders bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Saunders seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Cataldo wobbles Saunders with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Cataldo dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Saunders to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
