The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wagner tries to clinch up but Gerson circles away and keeps his distance.
Gerson unleashes a big counter combination but Wagner bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Wagner wants to stand but Gerson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Gerson pushes Wagner off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Wagner is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gerson is just riding it out for now. Wagner eventually gives up the hold.
Gerson wants to control but Wagner is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Wagner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gerson was covering up waiting for the punch and Wagner finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gerson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wagner has picked Gerson up and slammed him! Gerson can't keep hold of the triangle and Wagner manages to pass to side control!

Wagner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gerson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Wagner doesn't defend quickly enough and Gerson has managed to lock this one up! Can Wagner escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gerson on a fantastic submission victory.
