Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samppa Linna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linna throws a low kick but Gutz moves out of range easily.
Linna comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gutz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Linna dips to his left and cracks Gutz with an uppercut!
A telegraphed right hand from Linna misses the target.
It looked like Gutz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Gutz scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gutz misses the shot to the body.
Linna flicks out a counter leg kick but Gutz steps away.
Gutz lands a glancing blow to the side of Linna's head.

It looks like Samppa Linna has been cut.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Linna, as that shot connected.

Samppa Linna is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gutz wants to clinch but Linna slips to the side
and Linna cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Samppa Linna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Linna throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gutz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

A looping hook to the body misses from Linna. Gutz does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Gutz on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

I was talking to Gutz's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Linna lands a nice uppercut.
Linna goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Gutz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Linnas head.

Linna throws a leg kick but Gutz sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Gutz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Linna napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gutz postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Gutz advances to mount.
Linna tries to reverse the position but Gutz maintains control.

Gutz throws some wild stikes that Linna manages to avoid easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gutz softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Linna is out cold! Gutz jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
