The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Al Azzawi tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Al Azzawi to the ground. Al Azzawi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Al Azzawi, which made it look bad.
Al Azzawi is looking to clinch.
Brown goes for a double leg but Al Azzawi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Al Azzawi continues to drive forward.
Al Azzawi seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Riyadh Al Azzawi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Brown.
Al Azzawi tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Brown decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Al Azzawi's guard.
Brown controlling from the top position.
Al Azzawi is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown advances to half guard.

Brown is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Al Azzawi is trying to escape and Brown transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Al Azzawi is forced to tap! Nice work there by Brown! Very nice indeed!
