Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Derrick May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Eberle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Derrick May!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Eberle!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eberle fakes the leg kick and cracks May in the body.
May really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Eberle misses with a head kick.
May appears to be looking for a big counter.

May moves into the clinch.

May's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Eberle feints and then cracks May's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow May down.

May tries to sprawl but Eberle drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Eberle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
May is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Eberle's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Eberle's back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eberle trying to control the hands but May won't let him.

Eberle is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

May looking for the choke from the back.

May looking to break Eberle's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Eberle remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise May will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
May wants to control but Eberle is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
May is hanging on to Eberle's back as he tries to escape.

May looking for the choke but no joy.
Eberle wants to control his opponent's hands but May gets his hands free.

May is looking for a choke. Eberle gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Eberle manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
May has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Eberle looking to pass the guard.
May wants to sweep here but Eberle controlling him for the moment.
Eberle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Eberle avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
May is looking to stand up but Eberle isn't so interested in that idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Eberle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
May working a defensive guard here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
May takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
May shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Eberle as he avoids it easily.
Eberle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eberle scores with the left hand. May knows he should have avoided that one.

May gets caught napping as Eberle dives in and scores a takedown. May manages to retain guard.
May is breathing heavily.
May trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dante Eberle dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


May walks into a stiff left hand from Eberle.
May is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Eberle Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! May is out cold, face down on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Dante Eberle!
