Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Carrot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Caramat!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carrot darts in and clinches Caramat up against the cage.
Caramat tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Carrot is trying to break the clinch but Caramat is controlling him.
Caramat tries to throw a body punch but Carrot avoids it by throwing Caramat back against the cage.
Carrot wants a takedown.
Carrot fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Carrot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Carrot clinches up with Caramat and pushes him back against the cage.
Carrot prevents a body shot from Caramat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caramat struggles to land a body shot inside as Carrot controls his hands.
Carrot fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Carrot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carrot wants to take the fight to the mat but Caramat manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Carrot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Caramat lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Caramat has eaten all the pies!
Caramat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Caramat wants it to stay on the feet.

Carrot clinches up against the cage.
Caramat content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Caramat misses with a body punch.
Carrot stalls.
Caramat avoids a wild elbow strike from Carrot.

Carrot prevents Caramat from breaking the clinch.

Carrot is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Carrot has Caramat pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Caramat manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Carrot's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Carrot is pushing Caramat up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Horrible takedown attempt by Carrot or perhaps it was just good defense by Caramat, which made it look bad.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Caramat leaves Carrot with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And Caramat tries to counter it with a takedown but Carrot pushes his down on his head and steps out.
John Carrot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carrot tries for a takedown but Caramat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Caramat lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Carrot takes the fight into the clinch.
Carrot tries to pull guard but Caramat holds him up against the cage and eventually Carrot drops back down to his feet.

Caramat gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carrot.

That was a close round but I would say that John Carrot will probably get the nod.

Carrot fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Caramat, pushing him back against the cage.

Carrot has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Caramat is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Caramat tries to work over Carrot's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Carrot tries to pull guard but Caramat holds him up against the cage and eventually Carrot drops back down to his feet.

Carrot is trying to drag Caramat to the mat but Caramat just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Caramat unleashes a big counter combination but Carrot bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Caramat can't find room to land a body shot as Carrot controls the action.
Carrot tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Caramat just stands there and leans against the cage.
Caramat misses with a hook to the ribs.
Caramat tries a body shot but Carrot blocks it.
Carrot tries for a takedown. No joy.
Carrot wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Caramat has him pressed against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A frustrated look appears on Caramat's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Carrot prevents Caramat from breaking the clinch.

Caramat tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Carrot's elbow.
Caramat tries a body shot but Carrot blocks it.
Carrot prevents a body shot from Caramat.
Carrot goes for a takedown attempt but Caramat pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Caramat would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Caramat is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Caramat wants to get up but he can't break Carrot's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
John Carrot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

I think Carrot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
