Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Chosen One and Baadur Jobava. Baadur Jobava told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the vacant welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the fighter to my left.

And introducing the fighter to my right.
With a record of 3 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Helsinki, Baadur Jobava!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Ackerman.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

One gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jobava is trying to pull guard but One turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
One can't find room to land a body shot as Jobava controls the action.
One swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Jobava can't get the takedown.
One lands a right hand.
One tries to throw a body punch but Jobava avoids it by throwing One back against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from One.
Jobava blocking some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in the clinch, One scores with a nice short uppercut.
Jobava prevents a body shot from One.
Jobava misses with some punches.
One fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

One goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jobava tries to pull guard but One forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The Chosen One has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baadur Jobava.
Jobava drops down looking for an ankle pick but One pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jobava gets tackled into the cage by One. One maintains the clinch.

Jobava drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

One swings and misses with a hook to the body.
One ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
One tries to clinch but Jobava is having none of it.
Jobava is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Jobava shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as One sprawls well. One wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jobava gets slowly back to his feet.
Jobava takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

One tries to clinch but Jobava moves out of range.
Jobava feints the counter takedown.
The Chosen One is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

One fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jobava, pushing him back against the cage.
Jobava has One pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. One manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Jobava has dropped down and is working for a takedown. One is trying to keep an underhook but Jobava manages to get the takedown into half guard.

One keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Jobava is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Well, if Jobava is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
One keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jobava is nestled in close to One, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
One on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if One tries to get out of the position.
Jobava content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
One knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jobava on the ground.
One blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jobava.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Chosen One dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jobava shoots in for a takedown but One shows good takedown defense.
No luck for Jobava with that takedown attempt.
Jobava tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but One defends well and Jobava ends up having to push One into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The Chosen One has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baadur Jobava.
One is looking to clinch but Jobava is avoiding it.
Jobava takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jobava drops down looking to force a counter takedown but One defends it well.
One throws a right and a left that Jobava avoids nicely.

One scores with a jab to the jaw.
One swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jobava tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
One throws a shot from downtown. Jobava moves away and avoids it.
Baadur Jobava is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jobava shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and One counters with a stiff right hand.

Jobava is rocked!
One lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Chosen One!
The Chosen One is the new welterweight champion!
The Chosen One very nearly forgot to thank Mohito Fightwear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
