The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogg throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Garcia has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hogg enables Garcia to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hogg manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but JD Hogg did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
