Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isidro Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simba The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isidro Fowler had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Isidro Fowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simba The Beast!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Beast rushes Fowler and presses him up against the cage.
The Beast stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Fowler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The Beast takes the fight into the clinch.
The referee calls for The Beast to work.
The Beast missing with knees to the body.
The Beast drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Beast has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fowler avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fowler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Fowler wants to stand and escape but The Beast is having none of it.

The Beast throwing strikes from guard but Fowler blocks nicely.
Fowler is pulling down on The Beast's head to control his posture.
The Beast loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fowler could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fowler is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

The Beast has Fowler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fowler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Isidro Fowler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simba The Beast.
The Beast wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fowler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Simba The Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The Beast ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. The Beast no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fowler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fowler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fowler stands up and waves to The Beast to follow him.
The Beast closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fowler circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

The Beast ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. The Beast no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The Beast thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Fowler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Fowler stands and steps away. The Beast gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The Beast throws a head kick but Fowler moves out of range.
As The Beast looks to move away, Fowler throws a big counter combo bu The Beast just gets out of the way.
Fowler tries to clinch there but The Beast circles away.
Fowler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fowler wants it to stay on the feet.
The Beast looks winded!

The Beast gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The Beast is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Fowler jumps guard and drags The Beast to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fowler wants to sweep but no luck.
Fowler has his hands on The Beast's head, controlling the position.

The Beast preventing the sweep.
The Beast trying to control but Fowler is working from the bottom.

Fowler pushes The Beast off and scrambles back to his feet.

The Beast gets a clinch.
The Beast wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The Beast is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fowler pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The Beast jumps guard and drags Fowler to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fowler lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The Beast is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fowler is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Isidro Fowler will probably get the nod.

Fowler has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics The Beast uses from the top position.

Fowler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. The Beast defends it easily.
Fowler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The Beast's guard.

Fowler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The Beast looking for a sweep. Not yet The Beast, not yet.
The Beast really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fowler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The Beast wants to stand up but Fowler is controlling him.

Fowler missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Fowler throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Beast works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fowler throws a big elbow that misses.
The Beast pulls Fowler in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Horrible takedown attempt by The Beast or perhaps it was just good defense by Fowler, which made it look bad.
The Beast is breathing heavily.
Fowler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but The Beast avoids it really well and circles away.
The Beast is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Fowler tries for a takedown but The Beast sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The Beast shoots in for a takedown but Fowler shows good takedown defense.
Fowler stuffs the takedown attempt from The Beast. The Beast gets slowly back to his feet.

Fowler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The Beast forces Fowler back against the cage and clinches.
Fowler tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The Beast just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fowler wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but The Beast has him pressed against the cage.

The Beast is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Fowler jumps guard but The Beast stands there with Fowler around his waist. Fowler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The Beast tries to pull guard but Fowler holds him up against the cage and eventually The Beast drops back down to his feet.
The Beast scores with a nice hook to the head.
Fowler is working for takedown but The Beast is calmly controlling the position for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The Beast paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Fowler - great work!
