The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Landry there.

It looks like Bobby Godfrey has been cut.
Godfrey moves out of range of the strikes.
Landry throws a hook to the side of Godfrey's head but Godfrey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Landry swings for the body but Godfrey moves out of range.
Godfrey staying out of range there.
Godfrey's corner calls for a 1-2. Godfrey obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Landry smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Landry throws a body shot but no joy.
Godfrey slips a jab from Landry.
Godfrey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Godfrey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Landry pinned against the cage. Landry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Godfrey throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Landry throws the left hand but Godfrey avoids the punch easily.
Landry throws a looping overhand right but Godfrey ducks down to avoid it.
Godfrey tries to counter by clinching up but Landry breaks away and moves out of range.

Landry catches Godfrey with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Landry misses with a hook. Godfrey ducked under it nicely.
Godfrey missing with a left hand there. Landry was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Godfrey takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Godfrey is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Godfrey leaves his chin hanging out and Landry seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Godfrey crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
