Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chiyono Fuji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexey Juravlev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chiyono Fuji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Juravlev!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Juravlev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A swing and a miss from Fuji.
Nice body punch from Fuji.
Juravlev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A slow jab from Fuji misses its intended target.
Fuji slips under a jab from Juravlev.
Juravlev throws a right hand that Fuji ducks under and follows up with a left that Fuji also avoids with ease.
Juravlev on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Juravlev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fuji manages to avoid it.
Fuji uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Juravlev.
Fuji throws a shot to the body.
Juravlev misses with an uppercut. Fuji saw that one coming.
Fuji paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like Alexey Juravlev has been cut.
Fuji jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Juravlev misses with an uppercut.
Fuji lands with a nice body punch.
Juravlev on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fuji throws a big shot that misses.
Juravlev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Fuji goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
We've been told by Fuji's head coaches at Parko Ludus Top Team ($699) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Juravlev looks to throw the jab but Fuji is out of range.
Fuji throws a hook but Juravlev blocks it.
Fuji uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Juravlev.
Fuji uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Juravlev.
Fuji swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice defenses there by Fuji.
A quick step to the side and Fuji tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Juravlev tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fuji paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fuji buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Juravlev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Juravlev takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Left hook, right uppercut from Fuji.
Juravlev throws a body shot but no joy.

Fuji keeps the fight on the outside.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fuji scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fuji takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fuji just misses with a punch to the body.
Juravlev shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Juravlev swings for the body but Fuji moves out of range.
Fuji misses with a wild body shot.
Chiyono Fuji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juravlev lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Chiyono Fuji has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fuji. Juravlev does a little dance to reset his feet.
A jab lands there for Fuji.
Juravlev scores with a hook to the body. Fuji takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fuji scores with the left hand. Juravlev knows he should have avoided that one.
Juravlev throws a hook to the side of Fuji's head but Fuji sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

letting Fuji counter with a right hand.
Juravlev misses with a few strikes there.
Fuji throws a series of punches but Juravlev moves out of range.
Fuji looks to land a left hand but Juravlev moved out of range nicely.
Fuji throws a big shot that misses.
Fuji throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fuji throws a leg kick but Juravlev moved away.
Fuji throws a left and a right that both miss
and Juravlev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fuji thinking.
Fuji throws a nice looking combination but Juravlev bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Juravlev scores with a hook to the body. Fuji takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fuji is breathing heavily.
Juravlev lands with an uppercut that bounces Fuji off the cage and back into range.
Fuji slips a jab from Juravlev.
Fuji takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Juravlev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fuji ducks right into an uppercut from Juravlev.
Fuji walks into a jab.


Chiyono Fuji's cut is getting worse.

Juravlev punishes Fuji's body with a nice straight punch.
Juravlev lands a slapping body shot.
Juravlev lands with a hook. Fuji tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Juravlev lands a big right hook! Fuji looks hurt but is still standing! Juravlev lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Fuji falls down and Juravlev dives in with a huge hammer fist! Fuji's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Juravlev runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alexey Juravlev!
An out of breath Alexey Juravlev thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
