Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbert French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Purre Life (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

French tries to sprawl but Life drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Life stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
A punch combination from French misses.

Life shoots in and gets a takedown into French's guard.
French is trying to control the position from the bottom.

French is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Life defends well.
Life throws a big right hand that misses.
Life works a leg free and moves into half guard.

French looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Life is taking a breather. French says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Life passes to side control.

Life tries for a kimura but French is defending well.
Life working away.
Life misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Life working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Life controls the position.

Life tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Life has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Life advances to full mount.
French really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Life throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for French because Life loaded up on that one.
Life throwing strikes here but French is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Life is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, French has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Life sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Life throws some wild stikes that French manages to avoid easily.

Life looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
French is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Life has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Life throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Life closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Life lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Life blocks the strikes from French.
Life moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from French.
French tries to bench press Life off him but Life keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
French is trying to work for a sweep but Life has mounted him!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Life jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but French manages to avoid the submission attempt.
French is trying to improve his position.
Life trying to control the position but French is working away.
French sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Life is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Life is continuing to stall.

Life throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Life trying to control the pace.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Life passes to side control.
French wants to control but Life postures up.
Life has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
French is looking to regain half guard here but Life keeps moving and retains side control.
French wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Life wants to lay and pray for a moment but French keeps working.
Life has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for French!

Life trying to control but French is having none of it.

Life has control of French's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and French regains control of the situation pretty easily.
French wants to hold on but Life pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Life looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
French wants to control but Life is having none of it.

Purre Life showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

French throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Life's waist but Life gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing French off to one side.
Life looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Life shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Life was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Life is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. French knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Life wants to control but French is keeping him busy.
Life throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
French dodges the ground and pound from Life.
French wants to get back to his feet but Life is dominant here and he's now got French's back!
Life gets his hands free as French looks to control.

Life missing with punches from the back.

Life is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but French has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
French trying to control the action but Life just sinks the hooks in.

Life looking to break French's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. French remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Life will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Life wants to control but French is keeping busy.
Life might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control French haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Life has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, French has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Life doesn't have the hooks in and French manages to turn into his guard.

French postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Life working a defensive guard here.
French lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
French lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Life holds on and takes a little breather.
Life throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Life pulls French in close to his closed guard and prevents French from doing any damage or advancing position.

Life throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! French escapes and throws Life's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Life takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Life tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but French wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
An elbow from French crashes against the mat.
Life parries the strikes from French easily there. French is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Life to escape.

Life sneaks back into half guard.
Life misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Purre Life comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
