The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arthur shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jackson as he avoids it easily.
Arthur shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely.
Jackson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Arthur looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Arthur wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.
Jackson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Jackson tries to reverse the position but Arthur maintains control.

Arthur goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jackson is on top in guard.
Arthur looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there.
Arthur wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arthur is on top in guard.

Arthur passes into half guard.

Arthur is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arthur.
Jackson wants to control but Arthur is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Arthur is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.
Arthur wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Arthur passes into half guard.

Arthur is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Jackson won't allow Arthur to pass to mount.
Arthur wants to stand up but Jackson has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Arthur works his way into full mount!
Jackson tries to lock up and control but Arthur gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Arthur is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jackson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jackson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Arthur anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jackson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Arthur slips an arm under Jackson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Arthur has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Arthur is squeezing on Jackson like an anaconda would it's prey. Jackson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
