Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Froste Manro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vernon Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Froste Manro!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reeves tries to avoid it but Manro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reeves to the ground. Reeves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Manro closes the distance and pushes Reeves back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Reeves's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Manro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Reeves to keep the fight standing.
Manro fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vernon Reeves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Froste Manro.
Manro is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Manro breaks the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reeves looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Manro is fending him off so far but Reeves persists. Nope, Manro circles away and we're back to standing.
Manro tries to counter by closing the distance.

Manro rushes Reeves and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Manro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Manro misses with a wild combination.

Reeves gets tackled into the cage by Manro. Manro maintains the clinch.
Reeves is pressed up against the cage. Manro has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reeves down to the mat. Reeves avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Reeves clinches up with Manro and pushes him back against the cage.
Manro fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Manro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Manro shoots in looking for a takedown but Reeves manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Manro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Manro moves into the clinch.
Manro holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Reeves lands a damaging elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Manro goes for a takedown in the clinch but Reeves prevents it.
Manro leaning his opponent against the cage.
Reeves wants to get back to striking at distance but Manro won't allow it.
Reeves prevents a takedown attempt there.
A frustrated look appears on Reeves's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Come on Manro - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Manro trying to control the position but instead, Reeves has worked for underhooks and has pushed Manro into the cage.
Reeves throws an elbow that misses.
Manro tries for a takedown but Reeves manages to get underhooks.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Manro wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reeves has him pressed against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Manro pulls guard successfully.

Manro manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Manro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reeves fails with a takedown attempt.
Reeves misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Manro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Manro changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Froste Manro dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Manro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reeves moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Reeves avoids the body shot from Manro.
Reeves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Manro pushes Reeves up against the cage in a clinch.
Manro tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Manro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reeves misses with a takedown attempt - Manro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Reeves gets tackled into the cage by Manro. Manro maintains the clinch.

Reeves wants to sweep but no luck.
Manro throwing strikes but missing.

Manro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reeves is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reeves not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Reeves has Manro pulled in close to control his posture.
Manro wants to control from the top but Reeves keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Reeves shoots in for a takedown but Manro shows good takedown defense.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Manro tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Reeves defends well and Manro ends up having to push Reeves into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Reeves is trying hard to land a takedown here. Manro sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Reeves displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Manro.

Reeves shoots in but Manro avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Reeves clinches up with Manro and pushes him back against the cage.

Reeves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reeves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reeves throwing strikes from guard but Manro blocks nicely.
Manro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reeves is one step ahead there.
Manro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Manro holds on and takes a little breather.
Manro is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Reeves fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Froste Manro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Manro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reeves tries to avoid it but Manro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reeves to the ground. Reeves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reeves seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
No joy there for Manro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reeves shoots for a double leg takedown but Manro sprawls well. He's pushed Reeves's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Manro pushes Reeves up against the cage in a clinch.

Manro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reeves goes for a double leg but Manro avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Manro continues to drive forward.
A telegraphed right hand from Manro misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Manro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reeves, pushing him back against the cage.
Manro lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Manro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Froste Manro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Manro or perhaps it was just good defense by Reeves, which made it look bad.

Reeves fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vernon Reeves. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reeves tries to keep at a distance but Manro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Reeves prevents the takedown attempt.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Manro.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Reeves stops a takedown attempt from Manro.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Reeves swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Reeves pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Manro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manro dives in for a single leg takedown but Reeves sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Manro fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Manro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Reeves drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Reeves sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Manro is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Manro takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Reeves is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Manro has escaped the position, nice work there.

Reeves working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Manro trying to control but Reeves flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Manro trying to control the position but Reeves manages to sink in the hooks.

Reeves is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Manro is defending well though. Reeves let's go of the attempt for now.
Manro tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Vernon Reeves overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reeves putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Vernon Reeves has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Froste Manro is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
