Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feta Kuli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dr Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Feta Kuli!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rex looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kuli!
Kuli can't do much from the bottom here.
Rex scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kuli to see if he's OK.
Rex throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Kuli is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kuli is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rex drops an elbow to the side of Kuli's head.

Kuli makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kuli.

Kuli bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rex's guard.

Kuli is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rex wants to stand but Kuli is controlling the position.
Kuli trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rex knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuli on the ground.
Rex looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kuli is one step ahead there.
Rex keeping moving, preventing Kuli from controlling successfully.

Rex is striking from the bottom but Kuli uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Rex is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kuli wants to take a breather but Rex is having none of it.
Kuli moves nicely into side control.
Rex is trying to buck Kuli off.
Rex is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kuli moves into full mount!

Kuli wants to control the pace but Rex is squirming around nicely.
Kuli unloads with some shots from mount but Rex bucks and avoids them well.
You get the feeling that Rex really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Rex is looking to improve his position but Kuli isn't that keen on the idea.
The referee warns Rex that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rex throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Kuli blocks Rex's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Kuli with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Rex chipping away with body shots but they're not going to hurt Kuli.

Rex throwing hammer fists to the chest of Kuli. What's that going to do exactly?

Kuli looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Rex is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close round but Feta Kuli will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Rex tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kuli throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kuli fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rex to the ground. Kuli is now in Rex's guard.
Rex with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Kuli can't handle though.
Rex is looking to stand back up but Kuli counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rex.
Well, if Kuli is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kuli prevents Rex from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rex is looking to get back to is feet but Kuli passes into side control.
Kuli wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rex keeps working.

Kuli tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kuli has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kuli misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Kuli tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rex's legs.
Rex is looking for a sweep.
Rex misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Kuli wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rex keeps working.
Feta Kuli has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rex pushes Kuli away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kuli gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kuli tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Kuli gets to mount! Rex was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rex is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Rex is squirming around, avoiding Kuli's attempts to control the action.
Rex has given up his back.
Rex is really stuck here.
Rex is keeping busy.
Well, with Kuli on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Rex is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Kuli is hanging on to Rex's back as he tries to escape.
Rex looking very determined here, making life difficult for Kuli.
Rex turns into Kuli and is now in his guard.

Rex lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rex stands up over Kuli, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kuli has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kuli is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kuli might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rex haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Rex makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Rex stands up over Kuli, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Rex passes Kuli's left leg - he's now in half guard.

A close second round but Feta Kuli will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Rex closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kuli quickly recovers to half guard.
Rex is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rex connects with a nice short shot to Kuli's temple.

Rex is pressing down on Kuli's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kuli is holding on for now.

Kuli has his feet on Rex's thighs here. He's pushed Rex off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rex screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
