Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guru Majja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Majja comes to the cage accompanied by Afroman - Because I Got High. Ward has chosen Irigy Hónaljmirigy - Rúgj Chuck Norris (Chuck Norris parody by Hungarians) as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Tommy Ward!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ward shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Majja defends it nicely.
As Ward tries to get set, Majja tries to push him back and clinch up but Ward manages to avoid the attempt.
Majja moves out of range of the strikes.
It looked like Majja was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ward.
Majja takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Majja lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Majja gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ward to score an easy takedown into full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ward working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Ward wants to control from the top but Majja keeps moving.
Majja is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ward stops Majja from standing up.

Majja pushes Ward off and scrambles back to his feet.
Ward has his takedown stuffed
and Majja counters with a slapping leg kick.

Ward shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Majja is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ward is looking for a kimura here.
Majja manages to get to full guard.

Majja wants to stand but Ward is controlling the position.
Majja looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Majja wants to sweep here but Ward controlling him for the moment.
Majja avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Majja pushes Ward off and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Majja slaps away a takedown attempt from Ward, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Guru Majja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Ward.

Majja avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Majja scores with a hook to the body. Ward takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A thudding body kick lands there by Majja!
Ward doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

It looks like Tommy Ward has been cut.
Ward shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Majja but Majja pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Majja thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ward if he has to take too many more of those.
Ward is still on wobbly legs! Can Majja finish him?
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Majja. Ward shrugs it off though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Majja lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Ward up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Majja from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Ward's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Guru Majja!
A very excited looking Guru Majja rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Tommy Ward was interviewed post fight and said 'best 2 of 3?'.
