Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merle Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Palmer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer lands a jab to the head.
Palmer lands with a nice combination. Burton backs away looking to recover.
Palmer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Palmer misses with a combination
and Burton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burton content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Burton thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Palmer working a defensive guard but Burton manages to pass into side control anyway.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burton staying calm.
Burton lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Burton working the ground and pound.
Burton is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Palmer is trying to escape and Burton transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Palmer is forced to tap! Nice work there by Burton! Very nice indeed!
