Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takem Downem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Tyrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drew Tyrone will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downem misses with a lunging right hand
and Tyrone counters with a two punch combo.
Tyrone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Downem fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tyrone sprawls well initially but Downem persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Downem is taking a breather. Tyrone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Downem decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Downem shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Downem was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Tyrone is letting Downem control him for a moment.

Downem decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Downem drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Downem decides to stand back up.

Downem forces Tyrone back against the cage and clinches.
Downem lands a hook to the side of the head.
Tyrone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Downem lands with a left to the head.
Downem is leaning against Tyrone and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Downem has clasped his hands together around Tyrone's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Downem is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tyrone will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Downem stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Downem decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Downem gets through Tyrone's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Drew Tyrone has been cut.
Downem misses with a hook to the ribs.

Downem breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Downem closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Downem lands in his opponent's guard.
Downem passes Tyrone's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tyrone is in trouble now - Downem has advanced to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Downem lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Downem has managed to slip his arm under Tyrone's chin. This could be all over... yep, Tyrone is tapping out! Submission win for Downem.
