Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Shamrock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lewis Scott!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock throws a hook to the side of Scott's head but Scott sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Scott misses with a low kick.
Scott looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A nice inside leg kick there by Scott. That's going to slow Shamrock down.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Scott.
Shamrock misses with a straight left.
Scott looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Scott scores with a shot to the body.
Good leg kick by Scott there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shamrock throws a jab but it's blocked by Scott.
Shamrock takes a jab right on the kisser.
Shamrock misses with an uppercut. Scott saw that one coming.
Scott looks to throw the jab but Shamrock is out of range.
Scott dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shamrock. That did some damage!
Lewis Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scott looks to land a body kick but Shamrock moved away.
A little feinted left hand from Shamrock on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shamrock misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Shamrock counters with a stiff right hand.
Scott is looking to land body kicks.
Scott throws a nice head kick!
Scott throws a sloppy body shot
and Shamrock counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Shamrock drops Scott with a big left hand! Scott is injured, injured bad! Shamrock jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Shamrock!
Bobby Shamrock decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
