The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayala misses the shot to the body.
Fury uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ayala.
A little jabbing left from Fury on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fury swats away the attempt to clinch by Ayala.
Fury looks to land a combination but Ayala avoids it well.

and Fury counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ayala is trying to keep Fury in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fury wants to get back to his feet but Ayala is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

As Ayala backs off Fury throws a huge counter combo but Ayala manages to avoid it all.
Fury keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ayala could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fury shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ayala manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fury seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ayala controls Fury momentarily but Fury frees himself.
Ayala is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Fury postures up and lands a big shot to Ayala's brow.
Ayala has Fury pulled in close to control his posture.
Ayala is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ayala is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fury is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fury is staying tight to Ayala's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Ayala is pushing Fury's head away, looking to escape. Fury manages to hold on to the position though.
Fury tries to advance to mount but Ayala denies him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fury scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ayala to see if he's OK.

Fury wants to control but Ayala is keeping him busy.

Fury loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ayala scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Fury land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Fury stands and salutes the crowd.
