PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scot Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toya Anekwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anekwe lands with a shot to the body.
Grimes shoots in but Anekwe avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Anekwe darts in looking for a takedown but Grimes gets double underhooks and turns Anekwe into the cage.

Anekwe clinches up with Grimes and pushes him back against the cage.
Anekwe is trying to maintain a safe position but Grimes gets an underhook and turns Anekwe into the cage.
Anekwe has Grimes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Grimes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Anekwe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grimes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anekwe, into his guard.

Grimes has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Anekwe has his foot on Grimes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grimes works his way back into a safe position though.

Anekwe dives in and grabs Grimes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grimes pushes down on Anekwe's head and hops out.

Grimes manages to stand up with Anekwe still on his back. Eventually Anekwe drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Anekwe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anekwe wants it to stay on the feet.

Grimes has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Anekwe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Anekwe gets control of Grimes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Anekwe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

I would just about give that final round to Toya Anekwe.
