Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Simeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simeon tries to clinch but fails miserably
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Simeon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jacobson to the ground. Simeon is now in Jacobson's guard.

Simeon drops back looking for a leg! Jacobson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jacobson manages to kick Simeon off! Simeon jumps back into Jacobson's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Simeon seems to be working for a kimura but Jacobson defends the submission attempt.

Good leg kick by Simeon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Simeon throws a sloppy head kick and Jacobson moves out of range easily.

Simeon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Simeon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Simeon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Simeon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jacobson on his heels. He'll look to pass Jacobson's guard now, I'm sure.

Simeon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jacobson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jacobson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
