The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Barbu.
Hart looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Barbu clinches.

Hart jumps guard and drags Barbu to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Barbu wants to control from the top but Hart keeps moving.
Barbu is really struggling to control Hart but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Barbu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hart is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barbu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Barbu trying to control but Hart is working from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hart throws a left and a right that both miss

and Barbu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hart pushes Barbu off looking to stand but Barbu dives back in and keeps control.

Barbu is working for a submission of some sort.

Hart is defending against the submission attempts here by Barbu.

Barbu is looking for a kimura but Hart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barbu to get the leverage.
Barbu works his foot free and advances to mount.

Barbu is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hart has managed to escape the submission attempt.
