Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackjan Tio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Milan Zoranovic!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoranovic fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tio to the ground. Zoranovic is now in Tio's guard.
Tio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tio is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tio working a defensive guard but Zoranovic manages to pass into side control anyway.
Tio takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Zoranovic tries to move to mount but Tio blocks the move with his legs.
Zoranovic in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zoranovic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tio keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zoranovic lands an elbow.
Zoranovic tries to advance to mount but Tio denies him.
Tio regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zoranovic thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Tio is not content to let Zoranovic control the position.
Zoranovic trying to work for an americana but Tio has managed to regain full guard.
Zoranovic with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Zoranovic is looking to stand up but Tio won't let him.

Zoranovic distracts Tio with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Zoranovic is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zoranovic is working Tio over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Zoranovic tries to free his leg and advance position but Tio is retaining full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Zoranovic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Tio swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Zoranovic counters with a crisp one two that drops Tio! Zoranovic thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tio to his feet! Tio is in big trouble!
Tio is rocked!
Zoranovic shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Zoranovic slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Zoranovic lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Milan Zoranovic!
Milan Zoranovic opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
