Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veikko Kulkunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Veikko Kulkunen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kulkunen as he avoids it easily.
Dixon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kulkunen defends well and Dixon ends up having to push Kulkunen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kulkunen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dixon defends it well.
Dixon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kulkunen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dixon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kulkunen was covering up waiting for the punch and Dixon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kulkunen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dixon defends well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dixon shoots in looking for a takedown. Kulkunen tries to sprawl out of it but Dixon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kulkunen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dixon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kulkunen to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Dixon wants to sweep here but Kulkunen controlling him for the moment.
Kulkunen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dixon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kulkunen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kulkunen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dixon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kulkunen wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dixon looks for a takedown but Kulkunen sprawls well.

Kulkunen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kulkunen is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dixon has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Dixon wants to control but Kulkunen is having none of it.

Kulkunen has hold of Dixon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dixon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kulkunen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dixon is looking to escape.
Dixon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kulkunen wants to sweep here but Dixon controlling him for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dixon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Dixon shoots in but no luck this time.
Dixon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kulkunen as he jumps to the side.

We've been hearing good reports from Dixon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dixon is looking to regain half guard here but Kulkunen keeps moving and retains side control.

Kulkunen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dixon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dixon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kulkunen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kulkunen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dixon, who protects the arm well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Dixon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kulkunen has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Kulkunen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dixon is pushing down on Kulkunen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kulkunen is fighting to maintain full guard but Dixon has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dixon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kulkunen is just riding it out for now. Dixon eventually gives up the hold.

Dixon has his foot on Kulkunen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kulkunen works his way back into a safe position though.
Dixon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Veikko Kulkunen.
Well Kulkunen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
