Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Pillman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Ngeuy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan Ngeuy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ngeuy is looking to clinch but Pillman is avoiding it.
Ngeuy throws a shot from downtown. Pillman moves away and avoids it.

Ngeuy has closed the distance and engaged Pillman in a clinch.
A knee to the head by Ngeuy.
Pillman tries for a takedown but Ngeuy manages to get underhooks.

Pillman jumps into guard, dragging Ngeuy to the mat.
Ngeuy prevents Pillman from getting back to his feet.
Pillman looking for a sweep. Not yet Pillman , not yet.
Pillman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ngeuy's guard.

Pillman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pillman stands and throws Ngeuy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Pillman is putting a hurting on Ngeuy here, landing some big shots from side control.
Ngeuy on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Pillman cracks Ngeuy with a big right hand but Ngeuy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
A lull in the action here.
Ngeuy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pillman in side control lands a decent elbow.

Ngeuy gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Pillman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ngeuy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ngeuy is trying to escape the mount.
Pillman lands a big shot there that rocks Ngeuy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pillman lands a couple of good shots and Ngeuy has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ngeuy is covering up but some of the strikes from Pillman are getting through and doing damage.
Ngeuy is trying to remain composed but Pillman is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Pillman just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ngeuy is trapped and Pillman is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Pillman has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Ngeuy.
Ngeuy seems to have recovered his senses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pillman lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ngeuy is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Pillman keeps control of the position as Ngeuy tries to break free.
Ngeuy is trying to get back to his feet but Pillman has full control of the position and if anything, Ngeuy has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Pillman is hanging on to Ngeuy's back as he tries to escape.

Ngeuy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pillman swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pillman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ngeuy is trying to maintain the position but Pillman is very close to passing his half guard.
Pillman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ngeuy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pillman is working away from the top position though.
