The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winnfield gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Haney counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Haney.
Winnfield keeping moving, preventing Haney from controlling successfully.
Winnfield pulls Haney in to control the position.
Haney has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Winnfield is proving hard to escape from.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winnfield seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Winnfield wants to sweep here but Haney controlling him for the moment.

Winnfield really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Haney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Haney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Winnfield pinned against the cage. Winnfield gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Winnfield drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Haney right on the button. Haney goes down! Winnfield follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Winnfield gets the win via TKO!
