Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Conrad Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Conrad Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Jr!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jr gets a takedown into half guard.
Jr works his way into full mount!
Booth really is a fat lump.
Booth can't escape the position.
Booth sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Booth is trying to maintain the position but Jr is very close to passing his half guard.
Booth tries to roll over but Jr keeps him under control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Booth works his way to full guard. Good work.
Jr trying to control but Booth is working from the bottom.
Jr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Booth escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jr content to stall in guard here.

Jr gets to his feet. Booth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Booth's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Booth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Booth can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jr controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jr postures up.
Jr throwing strikes but missing.
Jr won't allow Booth to get back to his feet.
Jr controls from within his opponent's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Booth is trying to keep Jr in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jr shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jr not doing much here.
Booth trying to control here.
Booth is not content to let Jr control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Booth tries to get to full guard but Jr has control of the leg.

Jr is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jr is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Booth pushes Jr off and gets back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Booth keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pablo Jr dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Booth gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jr to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Booth lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Booth stands up and waves to Jr to follow him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Booth was well out of range. Poor timing from Jr.
That kick from Jr tenderised Booth's leg. Booth is trying to keep his angry face on.

Jr feints and as Booth raises his hands in defense, Jr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Booth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Booth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Booth!

Jr can't do much from the bottom here.

Booth is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jr has escaped the position, nice work there.

Booth has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jr looking to score a takedown here. Booth is defending well but Jr drives through and ends up in Booth's guard.
Jr is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Booth is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jr is aware though and is defending well.
Jr trying to control but Booth is working from the bottom.

Booth tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Booth keeping full guard, as Jr tries to pass.

Booth is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jr is controlling him.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jr wants to stand but Booth is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jr is stalling in the full guard.
Pablo Jr has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Booth is looking to stand up but Jr isn't so interested in that idea.
Booth is trying to keep Jr in close.
Booth looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Booth is trying to control the position but Jr postures up.
Booth has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Booth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jr throwing strikes but missing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pablo Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As Jr tries to get set, Booth tries to push him back and clinch up but Jr manages to avoid the attempt.

Jr gets the takedown into side control.
Booth tries to escape but Jr is in control.
Booth tries to buck Jr off but Jr is having none of it.
Booth is working hard here to advance position.
Jr in side control, throwing shots but Booth defends.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You can see the frustration on Booth's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Booth is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Booth is trying to buck Jr off.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Booth gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Booth is trying to stand.

Jr gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Booth counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Booth.
Booth wants to get back to striking at distance but Jr won't allow it.
Booth jumps guard but Jr turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Booth trying to control the position but instead, Jr has worked for underhooks and has pushed Booth into the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jr has Booth pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jr pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Booth tumbling to the mat - Jr dives into Booth's guard.
Jr trying to control but Booth is working from the bottom.
Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jr gets to his feet - Booth follows without any prompting.
Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Booth. That did some damage!
Booth has his takedown stuffed

and Jr counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Booth wants to break the clinch but can't.

Booth manages to pull guard.
Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Booth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Booth tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jr controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Booth looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jr is one step ahead there.
Booth avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Booth looking for subs off his back but Jr has passed one foot through into half guard.
Booth wants to get back to full guard.
Jr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Booth does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jr controlling the action here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pablo Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
