Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akira Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Cottero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ishikawa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to mindshift genki sudo. Akira Ishikawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cottero lands with a hook. Ishikawa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Ishikawa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cottero's guard.

It seemed like Cottero was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
