PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James La Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Theroux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). La Grande comes to the cage accompanied by Gemini Club-Sparklers. The crowd seem to be enjoying Theroux's choice of entrance music: red red wine. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theroux waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract La Grande.

La Grande shoots in looking for a takedown. Theroux tries to sprawl out of it but La Grande keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Theroux manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
La Grande takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Theroux tries to close the distance and clinch up but La Grande swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Theroux looks to land a left hand but La Grande moved out of range nicely.
La Grande attempts a counter takedown but Theroux avoids it well and moves away.

Theroux feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits La Grandes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

La Grande tries to counter with a takedown but Theroux is quick to defend against it.

La Grande closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Theroux to the mat! Theroux manages to get full guard.

Theroux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with La Grande. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

La Grande drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and La Grande jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

La Grande has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

La Grande is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Theroux to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Theroux shrugs it off.

La Grande throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Theroux has his hands clasped together but La Grande breaks the hold and Theroux is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by La Grande!
