And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Torello!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calirante misses with a wild combination.
Calirante misses with an uppercut. Torello saw that one coming.
A head kick misses from Torello.
Calirante appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Calirante misses with a body shot.
Torello's coach down at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Torello's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Calirante fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Torello manages to avoid it.
Torello connects with a right hand. Calirante shakes it off.
A shot to the liver by Torello. Beautiful body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torello throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Calirante's waist but Calirante gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Torello off to one side.
Calirante appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Calirante scores with a decent looking hook.
The fighters circle momentarily. Torello darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Calirante takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Calirante uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Torello.

Torello dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Torello throws a looping overhand right but Calirante ducks down to avoid it.
Calirante throws the left hand but Torello avoids the punch easily.
Calirante takes a swing at Torello's ribcage but misses.
Torello feints the counter takedown.
Torello takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Torello cracks Calirante with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Calirante thows a left - swing and a miss!
Calirante connects with a body shot that sends Torello's belly button to the back.
Torello is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Calirante.
Torello throws a jab when Calirante was well out of range.
Calirante throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Torello changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
James Torello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torello takes one on the button.


Torello is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Calirante thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Torello if he has to take too many more of those.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Calirante Rushes Torello and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Torello is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Calirante Piles on the pressure and Torello crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Santiago Calirante decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
