Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Gotti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Seth Duplesris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duplesris misses with a hook. Gotti ducked under it nicely.
Gotti pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duplesris lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gotti circles away quickly and effectively.
Duplesris throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gotti stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gotti keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gotti steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Duplesris.
Gotti lands a nice shot that snaps Duplesris's head back.
It looks like Seth Duplesris has been cut.
Gotti blocks the body kick.
Duplesris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice shot lands for Duplesris.
Gotti misses with a kick to the body.
Seth Duplesris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duplesris lands with a nice combination. Gotti backs away looking to recover.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duplesris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gotti.
Duplesris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gotti.
Duplesris throws a sloppy body shot
and Gotti counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A punch combination from Duplesris misses.
Gotti throws a nice looking combination but Duplesris bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Duplesris takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gotti rushes Duplesris with punches - Duplesris moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Duplesris goes down! Gotti follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Gotti!
