The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez blocks a head kick by Trip.
Sloppy strikes from Suarez. Those never looked like landing.

Suarez drops Trip with a left and a right! Oh, Trip is hurt - Suarez dives into side control looking to finish!

Trip is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trip wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Trip is still in real trouble! Can Suarez finish him?
Suarez looking to control but instead Trip has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Trip seems to have recovered his senses.

Suarez is thwarting Trip's attempts to control the position.

Suarez thows a huge punch but Trip dodges it nicely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Suarez connects with a nice short shot to Trip's temple.
Trip regains full guard. Nicely done.
Suarez won't allow Trip to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Suarez misses with a double jab.

Oooh a lovely combination from Suarez sends Trip down but not out. Suarez dives into side control looking to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Trip is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Suarez off and has taken his back!

Trip gets back to his feet - a bit of a stange decision given the position he was in.

Suarez keeps the fight on the outside.
Suarez lands a big right hook! Trip looks hurt but is still standing! Suarez lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Trip falls down and Suarez dives in with a huge hammer fist! Trip's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Suarez runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
