The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Grdovic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mladen Grdovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grdovic throws a head kick that misses.
Tate attempts a counter takedown but Grdovic avoids it well and moves away.

Grdovic is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tate defends well.

Tate is trying to pull guard but Grdovic turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Tate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grdovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grdovic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mladen Grdovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Grdovic stalks Tate and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tate's face. Tate staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grdovic pushes Tate up against the cage in a clinch.

Tate ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tate no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Grdovic wants to stand but Tate has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A close round but Mladen Grdovic will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Grdovic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tate defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate distracts Grdovic with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Tate changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grdovic tries to avoid it but Tate manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grdovic to the ground. Grdovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tate shoots for a takedown but Grdovic saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tate wants to clinch up but Grdovic keeps it at a distance.
Geraldo Tate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tate shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grdovic defends it nicely.
Grdovic unleashes a big counter combination but Tate bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

It looks like Geraldo Tate has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Tate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Grdovic lands a brutal head kick. Tate looks out on his feet and Grdovic throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
