Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Halonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quirinus Rai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halonen comes into the arena with Going to the run (Golden Earring) blaring out of the sound system. Quirinus Rai is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rai shoots in for a double leg but Halonen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Halonen moves into range and clinches up with Rai.
Halonen is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Halonen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Rai tightens his grip and picks Halonen up, before dumping him to the ground. Halonen manages to land in guard.
Rai is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rai landing some decent shots from guard.
Rai postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rai with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rai passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Halonen!
