Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jig Beckley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson closes the distance and clinches up with Beckley, looking for a takedown. Patterson pushes Beckley against the cage but Beckley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Beckley keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Horrible takedown attempt by Patterson or perhaps it was just good defense by Beckley, which made it look bad.

and Beckley counters with a crisp one two that drops Patterson! Beckley thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Patterson to his feet! Patterson is in big trouble!

Beckley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Patterson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Patterson has escaped and now he's on top!

Patterson has control of Beckley's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Beckley regains control of the situation pretty easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beckley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
