The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beefcake tries to close the distance and clinch but Jacobson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jacobson throws a big counter combination but Beefcake scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Beefcake closes the distance but Jacobson moves to the side
and Jacobson counters with a one-two to the body.
Jacobson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Beefcake doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobson circles away.
Brutus Beefcake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beefcake throws an off balance right hand
and Jacobson counters with a straight right hand.
Beefcake tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jacobson swats away the attempt to clinch by Beefcake.
It looked like Jacobson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beefcake throws a poor cross that misses

and Jacobson counters with a crisp one two that drops Beefcake! Jacobson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Beefcake to his feet! Beefcake is in big trouble!

and Jacobson counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Beefcake has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
