Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phol Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jens Pedersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pedersen's choice of entrance music: Killing in the name of.... These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Hunt.
Hunt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pedersen just misses with a punch to the body.
Hunt lunges at Pedersen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pedersen's hand.

Pedersen jabs Hunt right on the nose. Hunt blinks but takes it well.
Pedersen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hunt.

Hunt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pedersen tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Hunt lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Pedersen or not.

A slapping leg kick lands for Hunt.
Hunt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pedersen tries to clinch up
letting Hunt counter with a right hand.
Pedersen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunt paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pedersen manages to avoid it.
Pedersen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hunt scores with a shot to the body.
Pedersen misses the shot to the body.
Hunt is looking to counter with head kicks.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hunt feints with a jab and clips Pedersen right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Pedersen is sent crashing into the canvas and Hunt leaps in for the kill! Pedersen tries to get to his feet but Hunt is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Pedersen is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phol Hunt!
Phol Hunt retains his middleweight title!
In his post fight interview, Phol Hunt started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
