PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kk Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jock Sleed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brewer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is scooby doo. Sleed has chosen I'm An Individual as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kk Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jock Sleed!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer misses with a head kick.
A good leg kick by Brewer.
Brewer throws a front kick aimed at Sleed's knee but Sleed avoids it well.
Sleed fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sleed blocks the body kick.
Sleed looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sleed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sleed buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sleed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Brewer tries to land a leg kick but Sleed saw it coming and moves away.
Sleed let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Brewer clinches with his opponent.
Sleed is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right hook to the body lands for Sleed.
Sleed's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Sleed fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Brewer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sleed throws a hook but Brewer avoids it easily.

Brewer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brewer getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sleed lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brewer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brewer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kk Brewer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brewer misses with a wild body shot.
Brewer tries a head kick but it misses.
Brewer jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sleed scores with a jab.
Brewer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Sleed looks to score with a jab to the body but Brewer is just out of range.

No joy there for Brewer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brewer digs a good body shot into Sleed's ribs.
Brewer moves out of range as Sleed strikes.

As Sleed backs away, Brewer returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Brewer tries to clinch there but Sleed circles away.
Brewer just misses with a punch to the body.
Sleed swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A big right from Sleed misses.
Brewer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sleed's waist but Sleed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brewer off to one side.
Sleed blocks a head kick by Brewer.
Brewer throws a quick inside leg kick.
Brewer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sleed counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sleed feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brewer's calf.
Sleed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brewer.
Sleed digs a good body shot into Brewer's ribs.
Sleed keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Brewer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Brewer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sleed.
Sleed looks to score with a jab to the body but Brewer is just out of range.
Brewer uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sleed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brewer tries to clinch up but Sleed circles away and keeps his distance.
Brewer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sleed looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sleed unleashes a big counter combination but Brewer bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Brewer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sleed circles away.
Sleed throws a nice inside leg kick.
Sleed cracks Brewer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sleed scores with the left hand. Brewer knows he should have avoided that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sleed lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sleed misses with a looping left.

Sleed is looking to slow Brewer down with leg kicks.
Brewer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brewer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brewer swings for the body but Sleed moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Sleed checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sleed misses with a wild body shot.
Sleed keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brewer.
Brewer throws a hook but Sleed avoids it easily.
Sleed tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Brewer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Brewer avoids the body shot from Sleed.
Sleed scores with a shot to the body.
Brewer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sleed sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sleed keeps the fight on the outside.
Brewer has a takedown stuffed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jock Sleed will probably get the nod.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sleed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brewer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sleed has managed to get both his arms back between Brewer's legs - danger averted.

Sleed distracts Brewer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Brewer looking for a sweep. Not yet Brewer, not yet.
Sleed's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Sleed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sleed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sleed moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Brewer tries to clinch up but Sleed circles away and keeps his distance.
Brewer cracks the inside of Sleed's front leg.
Brewer fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sleed checks it well.
Sleed avoids a kick to the body.
Sleed throws a body punch but Brewer moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sleed.
Sleed's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Sleed misses with a takedown attempt - Brewer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Brewer looks to land a right hand but Sleed moved out of range.
Sleed wants to slow Brewer down by chopping away at his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jock Sleed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

It looks like Jock Sleed has been cut.
Brewer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sleed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sleed connects with a right hand. Brewer shakes it off.
Sleed scores with a jab to the body.
Brewer tries to close the distance and clinch but Sleed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brewer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sleed has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Sleed throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brewer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sleed's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sleed has Brewer pulled in close to control his posture.
Brewer wants to control from the top but Sleed keeps moving.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sleed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brewer tries to clinch but Sleed moves out of range.
Nice body punch from Sleed.
Brewer is looking to clinch but Sleed is avoiding it.
Brewer tries to clinch up but Sleed circles away and keeps his distance.
Kk Brewer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brewer tries to close the distance and clinch but Sleed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sleed only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Sleed lands a leg kick that knocks Brewer off balance momentarily.
Sleed uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Brewer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Brewer tries to work over Sleed's front leg with a kick but Sleed checks it.
Brewer throws a series of punches but Sleed avoids them all with ease.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brewer tries to close the distance and clinch but Sleed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sleed is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Brewer with a body shot.
Brewer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sleed.
Sleed misses with a wild body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kk Brewer showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sleed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
