The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haney checks a low kick from Chomp.
Chomp pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Haney really is a fat lump.

Chomp fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haney sprawls well initially but Chomp persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chomp trying to mount his opponent but Haney defends it.

Haney is defending against the submission attempts here by Chomp.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chomp looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Chomp is trying to control the action in half guard but Haney is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Chomp is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Haney is just riding it out for now. Chomp eventually gives up the hold.

Chomp has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Haney defend it? Chomp steps over the head and cranks it - Haney is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chomp!
