The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
Henderson misses with a few strikes there.
Burns went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Henderson throws a looping overhand right but Burns ducks down to avoid it.
Henderson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Henderson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Burns moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Tim Henderson has been cut.
Henderson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tim Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Burns counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Burns moves out of range of the strikes.
It looked like Burns was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Burns closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Burns passes to side control.
Henderson prevents Burns from improving position.

Burns is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Henderson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burns tries to advance to mount but Henderson denies him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Burns has an Americana. Henderson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Burns is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Burns hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

After winning the bout, Connor Mac Burns thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
