Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alp Chick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chick shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Chick wants to get back to his feet.
Phelps knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chick on the ground.
Chick trying to control the action but Phelps is working from the bottom.
Chick wants to stand up but Phelps is controlling the position.
Phelps has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chick is working away from the top position though.
Phelps is looking for a sweep. Chick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chick frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Chick prevents Phelps from getting the reversal.

Phelps sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Chick wants to control but Phelps is keeping him busy.
Chick is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Phelps keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Chick lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Chick working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Chick controlling the action here.
Phelps is looking to get back to full guard here but Chick has managed to pass to side control instead.
Chick postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Phelps could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Phelps takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

It looks like Johnnie Phelps has been cut.
Chick grinds an elbow into Phelps's temple.

Chick takes a little break here. Phelps wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Chick tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Phelps is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Chick is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Chick tries to control but Phelps wriggling away.
Phelps wants to control but Chick is having none of it.
Chick lands a heavy elbow.
